Campus Ride Along
The brief:
Our Solution
A campus carpooling community designed to be safe, simple, and accessible - run through a WhatsApp Community. It connects TU Dublin students and staff to share rides to and from campus, organised into area- and direction-based groups. Car owners can offer rides to others travelling the same way, with fuel costs shared.
The Smarter Travel Student Awards is a national competition run by the National Transport Authority under the TFI Smarter Travel Programme. The challenge is to develop practical projects that encourage and support sustainable travel, such as walking, cycling, public transport,
e-scooters, and carpooling, both on campus and beyond.
Visual Approach
290 entries were received from approximately 580 students. This project was developed with my teammates (Haiyang Feng & Saya Ono) and was selected as a finalist.
